The Peregrine began as an agreement of safety between families living in the Sanctuary during the collapse. Premised on the belief that the conflicts of the day would endanger them if they did not band together, the Peregrine Society formed in its infancy as an alliance of sorts. In the many years to follow, the Peregrine Society has grown beyond its political origin into a club of socialites, gentlemen, and ladies of good standing. Whether noble or common, the Society plays its focus to the finer tastes of life, offering a reprieve from the harshness of life outside its influence.

- Activities & High Culture -

The Peregrine is an exclusive institution, where activities are engaged in from the comfort of high station and luxury. From the Peregrine’s membership, events are held to foster camaraderie and chivalry among them. Great hunts, dinners, philosophical debates, and other activities populate the yearly schedule. 

A commoner might label the club out of touch, and that description is partially correct. The club prides itself on exclusivity and status. Events are held for the sole purpose of showing off. High fashion, where club members display the ornate expression of their culture, is a common form of dress at any event.

- Membership -

The Peregrine rests its membership principle on the idea of restrained selection. To be admitted, a prospective member must receive a handwritten letter from the Society. Only then can the individual be eligible for membership.

Members of The Peregrine are given a ring to symbolize their belonging to the exclusive club rank. These rings are gold with a parrot  fixated to its centerpiece. They are expected to wear these rings at all events, in addition to verifying their position to a higher member for entry. 

Membership to The Peregrine denotes many benefits, both real and metaphysical. Members are privy to internal dispute procedures, in which any given member who has disagreements with another are encouraged to utilise an internal court structure. This is for the purposes of airing grievances and allows for the providing of resolution without needing to consult the main courts of the land. A mediator, who shall also be a member will be selected by the consent of both parties to assure fair judgment.

Those within the Society may also garner small perks in the form of access to exclusive events, preferential treatment at business operated by Society Members, and the opportunity to mingle between a class of refined social betters.

- The Oath of High Station -

Following successful receipt of a personal invitation to join, prospective members will attend an initiation in which they will take the Oath of High Station. While the exact terms are not public knowledge, such are carefully worded and put in place to secure the nature, reputation and secrecy of the Society’s internal operations.
