Elves are an ancient race renowned for their ethereal beauty and innate connection to the natural world. Each subrace possesses distinct qualities and appearances that align with their affinity for either sunlight or moonlight, often marked by unique markings that illuminate during the respective times of day. These markings resemble birthmarks or tattoos.

It can be noted that both Elves, while from vastly different cultures, were rumoured to have immense wealth and plentiful territories during the golden era. Due to this, they are often seen holding themselves in a higher regard than all the other races.

Sun Elf

Appearance

Sun Elves typically have fair, alabaster skin that seems to shimmer in sunlight. Their hair ranges from hues of gold and copper to fiery reds, cascading down in long, flowing waves. Eyes are often vibrant shades of amber, emerald, or gold, sparkling with an inner light that mirrors the sun itself.

Traits

Sunlight Resilience - They thrive in daylight, often having a natural resilience to the harsh effects of the sun's rays and warmth, which further enhances their stature as creatures of the day.

Solar Affinity - Sun Elves have a natural affinity for creatures and beings associated with sunlight, often forming bonds with majestic creatures such as golden eagles, lions, or mythical beasts said to thrive under the sun's rays.

Moon Elf

Appearance

Moon Elves typically have pale, silver-toned skin that glows softly under moonlight. Their hair ranges from silvery-white to dark blue or black, often worn long and loose or intricately braided with beads and natural elements. Eyes are striking shades of blue, violet, or silver, reflecting the depths of the night sky with an otherworldly luminescence.

Traits

Astral Coordination - During the night, Moon Elves can choose to enter into a meditative trance that allows them to know the cardinal directions and commune with their ancestral spirits. If performed under the moonlight, they will feel as if they are rejuvenated.

Lunar Affinity - Moon Elves have a natural affinity for creatures and beings associated with the night, often forming bonds with creatures such as wolves, giant spiders, or mythical beasts said to thrive under the moon's rays.

Forest Elf

Appearance

Forest Elves are usually taller and more slender than the average human, distinguished by their pointed ears and eyes that span a spectrum from vibrant greens to deep blues. Their skin tones vary from fair to bronze, often possessing a subtle radiance that imparts an otherworldly aura. Like-wise, their hair often reflects this nature most Forest Elves are brunettes, though a dark blonde and near black are sometimes seen within the sub-race as well. 

Traits

Hourglass - Forest Elves possess an innate sensitivity to the passage of time and subtle changes in their environment. This ability allows them to gauge time intervals with remarkable accuracy, whether it's seconds passing or seasons changing. They can also perceive slight temporal disturbances, such as anomalies caused by magic or fluctuations in natural rhythms.

Harmonic Existence - Forest Elves have the natural ability to attune themselves to the harmonies and vibrations present in their surroundings. By focusing their senses, they can detect hidden patterns in sound waves and even subtle vibrations in objects or living beings. This ability aids them in identifying structural weaknesses in buildings, predicting seismic activity. It also enhances their appreciation of music and allows them to create melodies that resonate deeply with listeners.
