Half Breeds

An often scorned coupling, those who are born to parents not of the same race find themselves marred by the genetic differences. Those who are only half of what they could be seen as lesser than their full counterparts, never quite able to fit into one community or the other.

Mechanics

Half-races are known to exist only aesthetically. Children born to parents of different lineages often portray traits from both parents but are biologically considered to be of one race or the other, inheriting their racial traits from only one of their parents. These traits are tied directly to the sub-race of the parent of choice.

There are some key details of those born to two races, such as the following:

• Those born to an Elf parent will always inherit semi-pointed ears
• Those born to a Human parent will never exceed the max height of the sub-race.
• Nymphs and Shifters are incapable of producing half-races, with shifters being reproductively incompatible with any other race. Any child born to a Nymph will almost always be born as a full Nymph.
