Tournament of the Laughing Paragon

It is said in old Oleszaki folklore that when the collapse inflicted its wrath on humanity, great calamity and violence befell the ancestor tribes. In the strife that followed, the tribes were left without heroes to drive off the evil that threatened them, or leaders to guide them. In those days a hero was born, said to be the strongest of the Oleszaki people. The Laughing Paragon was a warrior of unparalleled skill and prowess, said to be blessed by the Wyjszest himself. Only the sword of the Laughing Paragon drove off those who would do harm unto the tribes, scattering their evil to the far corners of Volaris. Each year during the foretold hour, a great melee is held in his honor, and the mask of the Laughing knight bestowed upon its champion. 

Tournament Information

On behalf of the Skarzyn Family, we are proud to invite the citizens of Sanctuary to partake in one of the oldest of Oleszaki traditions. A grand melee, to celebrate resilience during the collapse, will be conducted on [Saturday, April 5th, at 3pm EST]. The location will be the Sanctuary Tourney Grounds, where a warp will be placed.

All warriors of able body are requested to make their mark and register for the bloody contest, where the skill of sword and shield will be measured and a victor will be crowned in glory for all of Sanctuary to witness. 

As their prize, the victor will receive the mask of the Laughing Paragon, especially forged by smiths of the Skarzyn Family, along with 500 coins.

Tournament Rules

Each duel will follow a points system. A fighter wins when he either knocks out his opponent or scores four successful blows.

All manner of weapons, armor, and tactics are permitted. It is forbidden to attack an opponent when they have been defeated under one of the two conditions. Violators of this principle will be disqualified and referred to the guard for assault.
