Techlock

On techlock, currently the world of Volaris has gone through technological ice age due to the great collapse. Knowledge that was once known has been lost to the destruction of the world, and while some of it lays able to be recovered, most is not.

The world is currently set to a technological timeline between 1400s-1600s.

Gunpowder

Within Volaris, sulphur does not exist meaning that gunpower, or blackpowder is unable to be produced by the IRL known methods within the IC world. The world functions mechanically the same regardless of this non-existence, biological or ecological affect.

It is known that many of the ships in the recent generation have only just began to set out beyond regular fishing spots. These crews often employ Enkindled to combat sea monsters and any other possible enemies while out on the open waters.
